J. Matt Gentry, OD

Dr. Gentry purchased The Eye Gallery from Dr. J. Cliff Hughes (a good friend of his) in 2018.  In 2000 he graduated cum laude from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  In 2004 Dr. Gentry graduated summa cum laude with his Doctorate in Optometry from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry.   Then in 2005 he completed a Residency in Primary Eye Care at the Raymond G. Murphy Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Before moving to the Oklahoma City area, he worked for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (Idabel, OK), Morton Comprehensive Health Services (Tulsa, OK), Epic Vision Eye Centers (Clay Center, KS), and Eyecare Norman (Norman, OK). Dr. Gentry is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Association of Optometry. He specializes in dry eye disease and managing posterior segment diseases including glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration.  Dr. Gentry loves spending time with his wife Vickie and his four children.  In his spare time, he enjoys exploring hiking trails, gardening, physical fitness, and discovering new ways to provide his patients with clear vision and healthy eyes.
